Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Overview
Grandview Cabinetry is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment and its facilities. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Repair and Maintenance
- Repair production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Perform routine building maintenance.
Production Support
- Collaborate with production teams to enhance production cell efficiency and safety.
- Engage in light fabrication tasks as required for equipment maintenance.
- Build, modify, or move workstations as needed.
Characteristics and Attributes
- High mechanical aptitude with experience in welding, machine repair, and general electrical.
- Embrace continuous improvement mindset to enhance equipment performance.
- Proficiency in running conduit and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Willingness to learn.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Conduct general mechanical repairs and be the primary source for preventative maintenance.
- Actively participate in 6S, Continuous Improvement, and warehouse reorganization efforts.
- Read electrical schematics and work with electricity at various voltages.
- Utilize mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills effectively.
- Clean machines and machine parts thoroughly, removing and reinstalling parts as necessary.
- Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts; prepare reports documenting work performed.
- Order and install replacement parts; repair broken machines promptly and efficiently.
- Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Collaborate with facility management regarding new products and modifications required.
- Make necessary modifications, conduct test runs, and confer with the maintenance manager on results; make additional alterations to machinery as required.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines while performing the necessary job functions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift and/or scissor lift.
- Welding fabrication experience is a plus.
- Works well independently and collaboratively.
- Possesses good communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of LOTO policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
- Prior experience in a similar role or in a role with applicable transferable skills.
- Some vocational or community college with related coursework preferred.
- Strong mechanical background with general electrical knowledge.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Weekend work may be required.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- May involve working with chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials; appropriate PPE will be provided.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Pay commensurate with experience. Anticipated starting wage between $18.25/hour - $22.50/hour.
