Blue Sky Hospitality, a Minnesota-based hotel management company, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and customer-focused General Manager to lead our GrandStay Hotel in Cannon Falls, MN. Whether you're an experienced hospitality professional or a proven leader from another industry, we'd love to hear from you.
As General Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of our limited-service hotel while ensuring exceptional guest experiences, developing a high-performing team, and driving the hotel's overall success.
What You'll Do
As the General Manager, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel while maintaining franchise and company standards.
- Manage budgets, control expenses, and maximize profitability.
- Deliver outstanding guest service and ensure consistent quality throughout the property.
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain a strong team of employees.
- Schedule and assign staff responsibilities while promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Maintain accurate operational records, including direct bill accounts, guest folios, credit card receipts, cash logs, pool logs, and other required documentation.
- Complete new hire onboarding, position training, and safety training.
- Ensure compliance with all franchise standards, company policies, and operating procedures.
- Represent the hotel professionally within the local community while helping grow business through community involvement and sales initiatives.

Qualifications include:
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience (hospitality experience is a plus but not required).
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to lead by example and inspire others to deliver exceptional service.
