Description
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the procurement of HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance parts, materials, and equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications and company standards.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Organized, reliable, and proactive.
- Team-oriented with a positive, solution-driven approach.
- Able to quickly learn product information and vendor tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare quotes and obtain verbal or digital approval to proceed with quoted products and/or services.
- Issue and expedite purchase orders as needed to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials to the warehouse and/or job sites.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate delivery requirements with vendors.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all purchase orders and procurement activities.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and sales representatives.
- Obtain catalog submittals and drawings for purchased materials when required.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Purchasing Manager.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, and policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in HVAC purchasing is preferred.
