Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
• Assess residents’ needs and preferences to develop engaging programs that promote socialization, wellness, and overall well-being
• Collaborate with staff and residents to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible
• Maintain activity schedules, records, and participation logs
• Foster a positive, welcoming environment that encourages resident participation and interaction
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed to maximize engagement
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Proven experience in planning and implementing recreational activities, preferably in a senior living or assisted living setting
• At least one year of experience working directly with residents in an assisted living environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and engage residents of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Creativity and enthusiasm for developing innovative activity programs
• Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in senior care environments
• Certification or training in recreational therapy or related fields is a plus
