IRRIGATION SPECIALIST

As the Irrigation Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our property green, healthy, and thriving. You’ll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all sprinkler, irrigation, and drainage systems across the grounds. From troubleshooting malfunctions to adjusting schedules for seasonal needs, your expertise ensures our landscapes receive the precise care they need to flourish—all while promoting water efficiency and system longevity.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Installs/repairs irrigation or sprinkler systems.
• Tests systems for potential issues
• Evaluates winterization of all sprinkler systems
• Repairs sprinkler valves, as needed.
• Evaluates pipe sizing and irrigation design
• Tests sprinkler systems
• May assist on various aspects of landscaping (mowing, weeding, general maintenance)
• Orders Irrigation supplies needed for projects and understanding how they are stocked and inventoried in Grounds
• Maintains safe work habits and uses all safety precautions recommended for each tool or machinery in order to maintain a safe work environment
• Other duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• Attention to detail & eye for safety hazards
• Irrigation System experience
• General knowledge and working ability in landscaping, irrigation, horticulture
• Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours
• Basic computer knowledge primarily for scheduling or payroll
• The position requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.
• This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), climb stairs, reach & bend.  
• The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels and write in complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments.

Education & Experience 

• High school diploma or GED 
• One to Two years’ experience in groundskeeping or property management with preference for hospitality experience (golf course maintenance is comparable)
• Microsoft Office experience required (Excel proficiency highly preferred)
• Valid drivers’ license for use of company vehicles may be required 

Salary : $19 - $20
