What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA Certified Nursing Assistant FT & PT Available, AM & PM Shifts position at Grand View Care Center?
Under the supervision of a nurse, you will provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with our "Culture Change" philosophy—putting the resident first and attending to their unique preferences and daily schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Empowering Daily Life: Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding) while honoring their individual choices and schedules.
- Clinical Support: Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other health-related information to help residents reach their highest practicable well-being.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and report changes in condition to the charge nurse promptly.
- Holistic Companionship: Provide emotional and spiritual support, fostering an inclusive environment that values each resident’s inherent worth.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, homelike environment, practicing infection control and assisting with unit management to ensure comfort and convenience.
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (must be registered on the Wisconsin nursing assistant registry).
- A compassionate heart and a dedication to delivering person-centered care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork and open communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while treating everyone with dignity and kindness.
- Previous experience in long-term care or memory care is preferred.
