Grand Valley Bank is looking to fill a full-time Universal Banker at our 25 Rd. branch, located at 570 25 Rd. in Grand Junction, CO. This position is scheduled for approximately 40 hours per week.
Job Overview
The Universal Banker is responsible for providing excellent banking service to our customers in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining an in-depth understanding of our banking products and services, accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions – both on the Teller line and in New Accounts, assisting with opening and closing accounts, issuing debit cards, keeping accurate records on all accounts, and all other related functions. The Universal Banker will be expected to travel between local branches, and cover planned and last-minute absences. This position requires someone who is able to learn and share procedures confidently in their various travel locations. There may be times that this person could assist in training others.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A UNIVERSAL BANKER:
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent math skills; 10-key a plus
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail
- Successful time-management and organizational habits, prioritizing punctuality and attendance
- Effective conflict-resolution and reasoning skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Prior banking / customer service / cash handling experience required
ENVIRONMENT: This job takes place in an office setting, both sitting and standing behind the Teller line, with light to moderate physical lifting requirements.
COMPENSATION: In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, compensation differentials for this position are based on multiple factors, including but not limited to: education, experience, training and skillset. All compensation offers are analyzed individually.
