What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Linen Porter / Driver - (PT) position at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa?
SUMMARY
Responsible for safely and efficiently delivering linen to and from the laundry building to any of the other complexes, and to distribute clean linen to the proper locations within these complexes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick up all soiled linen from each designated area (areas change seasonally)
- Deliver clean linen to each designated area (areas change seasonally)
- Ensure cleanliness of linen truck is maintained at all times; report any issues with the linen truck to the Laundry Manager
- Maintain gasoline levels of linen truck as needed; recording amount of gallons filled and odometer reading on the Linen Porter Daily Log
- Enter daily mileage on the Linen Porter Daily Log and submit to the Laundry Manager at the conclusion of shift
- Alert the Laundry Manager if there is a problem with picking up or delivering linen.
- Alert the Laundry Manager if any abuse of linen or other situation that does not follow our Resort policies.
- Assist with the sorting of soiled linen, loading and unloading washers and dryers, and other duties when asked

- Must be willing to help in any other area of Resort when needed
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Michigan driver’s license and be insurable under the Resort’s policy.
- Must possess a valid Chauffeur License or be willing to attain Chauffeur’s License within 30 days.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Pleasant personality and guest oriented attitude a must. There will be frequent contact with guests and other employees

- Must be well groomed according to Resort standards
