Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision the Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment plans.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse or Advance Practice Registered Nurse Licensed to Practice in South Carolina
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider or Instructor through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider or Instructor through American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 12 months of hire
• Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing,
• Experience: One (1) year experience in pediatric care or in an intensive care setting preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and /or Other Attributes: Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem solving skills.
