We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our management team as the Community Relations Director at Grand South Senior Living, the premier Assisted Living and Memory Care facility in the Wiregrass Region.
The Community Relations Director will combine marketing experience and clinical skills in a business development setting. The Community Relations Director is expected to build and maintain internal and external community relationships for generating strong referrals, with the intention that the leads will result in sales through the lease up period, and continued growth at or above budgeted occupancy goals.
Duties are to be performed in a courteous, timely, and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of resident satisfaction. This position will report to the Executive Director and will be included collaborative meetings with the management team and owner in accordance with Grand South community policies & procedures. This is a salaried position with commissions. The work schedule will be from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, however this position may require some schedule flexibility with the occasional weekend or evening hours as necessary.
Qualifications
- RN Diploma, Associates or B.S. degree in nursing, with a minimum 3 years clinical (RN) nursing
- Registered Nurse with current license in Alabama
- Experience cultivating healthcare & professional relationships
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills, as well as a deeply ingrained passion for seniors to successfully nurture relationships
- Preferred experience in senior living, or related healthcare environment (i.e., hospital, skilled nursing, assisted living / memory care, hospice, CCRC or home health)
- Valid and current driver’s license and current CPR certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows / Office Suite applications, ability to learn additional applications such as client relationship management software
Responsibilities
- The Community Relations Director plays the key role in developing the relationships with existing and potential residents and their families, as well as the high-value referral sources in the business community who will provide regular referral business to Grand South Senior Living
- Facilitate the expansion of our reach through networking with area hospitals, physician /specialists’ offices, skilled nursing / rehabilitation facilities, home health organizations, churches, civic organizations, and other senior living facilities
- Communicate regularly with case managers, physicians, referral sources, home health agencies, and Grand South staff to increase census and facilitate resident coordination of care
- Serve as a tour guide within the community, coordinating future resident interviews and appointments outside of the community, and assist with details regarding the marketing plan
- Direct the complete sales process, which includes external marketing of Grand South to the Wiregrass Region, facilitating the initial contact with potential residents, conducting tours of the facility, following-up with potential resident / resident representative, and coordination of the resident move-in and transition into the community
- Support management team to implement key marketing initiatives, selling tools, collateral, event presence and event objectives, new and existing community event plans, sales campaigns design and attaining performance metrics
- Identify opportunities for improvement in resident care and participate in Grand South's quality assurance / performance improvement initiatives as requested
- Build and maintain relationships with our residents and their families, and provide responsive customer service as needed
- Work closely with the Executive Director and other management team members (Wellness Director/DON, Maintenance Director, Culinary Director, and Activities Director and Owner)
