What You’ll Do
At Grand River Health, Registrars provide essential administrative and patient-facing support, ensuring efficient operations and a positive experience for all patients and visitors. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Manage incoming calls, relay messages, and direct patients and staff in accordance with hospital protocols, including emergency procedures
- Register patients and accurately entering demographic, financial, and insurance information into the MediTech system
- Greet and assist patients and visitors, providing guidance, information on hospital policies, and clarification of financial responsibilities
- Ensure proper identification of payer sources and accurate routing of revenue generated during patient stays
- Perform additional administrative duties as needed to support front desk operations and hospital efficiency
- Performs other duties as assigned
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key qualifications include:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing demands, and maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency within six months in HealthStream, Kronos, Instamed, Meditech, Experian/SSI, Galactica, Medicaid Portal, Allscripts ED, and Allscripts PM
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Working experience in a health care and serving the public preferred

- Pay Range: $17.50 - $21.14/hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
