What You'll Do
As an Occupational Therapist at Grand River Hospital District, you’ll play a key role in helping patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities. You’ll evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based care across a variety of settings. Working closely with an interdisciplinary team, you’ll support patients through recovery while promoting safety, function, and quality of life.
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Implement therapy programs to restore, maintain, or improve daily living skills
- Teach adaptive techniques and proper use of assistive equipment
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Administer therapeutic interventions to restore function and prevent disability
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with standards and policies
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members
- Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered care environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association, or eligibility to sit for the board examination
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Colorado
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and maintained throughout employment
- Practical experience across a range of occupational therapy services preferred
- Experience in upper extremity orthopedic rehabilitation and acute care settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency within six (6) months of hire in clinical and administrative systems, including Meditech, Cedaron, PACS, Exercise Pro, Allscripts EHR, Galactica, QHN, Microsoft Office, Kronos, and HealthStream
