What You’ll Do
Grand River Health Main Campus is seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative Pre-Authorization to join our team in Rifle, CO. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience by handling insurance verification. If you have strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, this position offers a great opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while working in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and verify necessary demographic and billing information, updating records accurately in the Meditech system.
- Verify insurance benefits, including precertification/authorization for inpatient/outpatient surgical patients, cardiopulmonary services, attended sleep studies, and all clinical outpatient MRI’s, CT’s, and similar diagnostics.
- Notify patients and guarantors to secure financial arrangements prior to services being provided.
- Cross-train with other members of the Patient Access team to assist with registration duties as needed.
- Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in patient registration, insurance verification, or pre-authorization preferred.
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar healthcare information systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, guarantors, and healthcare staff.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Pay Range: $20.00 - $29.18/hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends
