What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Lead position at GRAND RIVER CASINO?
SALARY RANGE: $14.05 - $18.40 HOURLY/DOE
SUMMARY:
To ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained at the Casino and Lodge in both public and back of the house areas in accordance with the procedures and policies of Grand River Casino and Resort. May be called upon to drive GRC company vehicles as it may apply to other assigned duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and daily upkeep of all public and employee areas.
- He/she will help identify maintenance needs relating to necessary repairs and preventative maintenance.
- The Housekeeping Lead will be hands-on housekeeper during shifts.
- He/she enforces and oversees the disciplinary and conflict resolution procedures in accordance with Enterprise policies and procedures.
- If the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Manager are unavailable and/or gone it is the responsibility of the Housekeeping Lead to ensure the staff maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor at all times and to instill in all staff, by example, that guest satisfaction and exemplary service are the standards to be maintained at all times.
- He/she will assist with regular performance appraisals of all staff.
- Maintain Title 31 compliance accurately.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES:
Must be age 21 years old. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Non-Gaming License. Must have a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of commercial housekeeping in a hotel/restaurant environment preferred. Must understand staff scheduling and be familiar with commercial cleaning supplies and equipment.
PHYSICAL:
Requires stamina for constant movement of walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, repetitive motions, pushing heavy cleaning equipment/carts, working in a warm environment, working with a variety of cleaning chemicals; must have the ability to lift sixty (60) pounds frequently. Must possess hand and finger dexterity for using tools and equipment.
