What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Executive Director position at Grand River Area Family YMCA?
Duties:
- Provide strong leadership and strategic direction to the organization
- Oversee and manage all the aspects of the sports program
- Create clinics and camps for variety of sports
- Lead and manage a team of employees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, donors, and community partners
- Manage budgets and financial resources to ensure fiscal responsibility
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sports
- Strong business acumen with a track record of successful business development initiatives
- Prefer a sports management, physical education, or similar degree
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships and secure partnerships in the community
- Experience in operations management, including budgeting and financial oversight
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives and implement best practices
