What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Grand Rail Development?
Grand Rail Development is looking for an accountant to join our team. We are looking to find a career-oriented accountant. The best person for this job would be best described as a “general accountant” that has a well-rounded accounting background and an overall solid working knowledge of accounting and finance matters. Applicant must be proficient in Quick Books, Excel and preferably (but not required) have knowledge in the construction and real estate industry. Must also have experience with "due-to, due-from" within a multi entity company.
Responsibilities
Month-End and Quarterly-End processes, General ledger analysis and analytical review of financial statements and detail of accounts, A/R & A/P, Run reports as needed, Assist with special projects as required, Preparation and filing of state income tax returns and tax analysis, weekly payroll, 1099's & W2s, Enter journal entries and book reconciliations, Process loan payments, Process deposits, Track rent income, Provide bank required financial deliverables, Insurance audit facilitation
Qualifications
Bachelors in Accounting
CPA (preferred)
Knowledge in construction and real estate industry
Proficient in Quick Books and Excel
