· As a Senior Lead, you are expected to maintain Grand Prairie’s Core Values in all communications with employees, visitors, outside service providers.
Role
The purpose of the Senior Lead position is to assist in supervising the day-to-day operations; to ensure all plant policies and procedures are being adhered to; and to ensure products are manufactured on time and within quality standards and cost.
Responsibilities
· Support new hires with on-the-line training and coaching
· Know and understand all paperwork including, but not limited to: Labor, Batch, Proof, Metal Detection, Cheese, Change Over
· Understand and implement staffing guidelines per line
· Organizes and directs team members throughout the whole shift
· Lead the set-up and changeover on production lines, including check sheets and paperwork
· Review and approve all product(s) being moved onto the production floor for accurate physical and systemic moves
· Track and accurately consume all ingredients in the ERP system that are being used to make the finished product(s)
· Understand and accurately use Just Foods (ERP system)
· Coach your team to meet and exceed to schedule adherence
· Review and complete all daily paperwork required per regulation and policy
· Understand and complete all end of shift paperwork
· Set an example for all employees on the production floor
· Work collaboratively with other leaders on the production floor to ensure a productive and welcoming environment
Education & Training Requirements
· High School diploma /GED preferred
Work Experience Requirements
· 3 years manufacturing experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, climb, push, and pull items weighing 40 pounds or less
· Exposure to variation in temperature
· Standing and walking across multiple production rooms, up to 10 hours a day
Expectations
· Ability to learn and perform all functions of production
· Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others
· Have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
· Understanding basic math
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
· Able to read, write, and understand English for documentation
· Become HACCP & Metal Detector certified
· Must know, understand, and comply with company policy and procedure
· Must understand and comply with SQF and GMP policies
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
