What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Grand Peaks?
Grand Peaks Dental is looking for a reliable, motivated Dental Assistant to join our team in Rexburg and St. Anthony. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment for both patients and staff and are seeking someone who is personable, hardworking, and committed to providing excellent patient care. This is a stable, year round part-time position with flexibility to work between both clinic locations.
The schedule consists of 2–3 ten-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday. Part-time employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) program. Wage is dependent on experience (DOE).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures
- Take and process dental X-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Sterilize instruments and maintain supplies
- Assist with front desk tasks and light housekeeping as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent Required
- 6 months of dental assisting experience preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented
- Ability to work in both Rexburg and St. Anthony
- Must pass a background check
