Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing all dining areas for meal service at ARC and Detox. Duties include, but are not limited to, stocking utensils, napkins, cups, soap and sanitizer dispensers, creamers, sugar, sweeteners, condiments, and other paper goods required for meal service. Refill Vitamin Water and Juice dispensing systems as needed. Brew coffee and tea, clean and sanitize countertops and shelving, empty and clean drip trays, sweep and mop floors around beverage stations, and remove trash throughout the day to maintain a clean, safe, and organized dining environment.
- Performs driver duties as assigned, including transporting hot food items to the Tulsa URC (TURC) using transport vans and portable warming boxes, and delivering meals to Detox using designated transport carts. Responsible for retrieving portable warming boxes after meal service, cleaning and sanitizing them, and preparing them for the next scheduled meal.
- Ensures the accurate and proportional delivery of meals based on the approved census for all service locations.
- Reports equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or equipment failures to the Foodservice Manager in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Stocks the Detox unit twice daily, once during the AM shift and once during the PM shift, according to the Detox Stock Inventory Sheet. Ensures all food, beverages, and supplies are properly stocked and stored in designated areas as directed by the Foodservice Manager.
- Maintains clean, organized, and clutter-free dining and serving areas during all meal service periods at each dining location.
- Completes all assigned dining area cleaning tasks in accordance with the Dining Area Daily Cleaning and Assignment Schedule. Staff members are required to sign off on completed tasks and submit the completed schedule to the Foodservice Office at the end of each week.
- Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout all Foodservice work and serving areas.
- Communicates inventory needs and recommends future food and supply requirements for all service locations to the Foodservice Manager.
- Adheres to all applicable health department regulations, food safety standards, facility policies, and departmental expectations regarding dress code, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Establishes and maintains a professional, respectful, and firm rapport with clients while consistently enforcing departmental and facility policies.
- Completes quality assurance, sanitation, and cleaning checklists as assigned by the Foodservice Manager.
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent. A minimum of one (1) year’s experience in institutional food service is preferred. Must have a curent Food Handler’s permit or Manager’s certification.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of practices and problems of food protection preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of standards of kitchen sanitation, personal hygiene and safety. Must be able to work with standardized recipes using standard weights and measures. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. A valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required. Must maintain good driving record. Understanding of alcohol/drug dependence and co-occurring disorders.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 50 pounds repeatedly. Must be able to negotiate stairs.
