What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grand Ledge Public School Food Service - (Day shift 3 - 6.5 hrs. per day) position at GRAND LEDGE PUBLIC SCHOOLS?
3 - 6.5 hours per day (Monday through Friday)
Shifts end by 2:00 pm.
No weekend or night hours are required.
10 Paid holidays, 9 paid sick time/vacation time, and 5 paid snow days.

Wage $17.00 starting pay with incremental pay adjustments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Preparation of high-quality food items according to standardized recipes or instructions in a fast, efficient manner to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
-Serve meals or prepare for delivery at times, using correct portioning, meeting USDA minimum standards, and ensuring that food is at the correct temperatures and is attractive and tasty.
-Ability to use kitchen equipment.
-Performs cleaning duties in the kitchen and serving area daily, maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness and storing food properly. Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Does dishes throughout the shift.
-Works effectively and maintains good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, students, parents, and the Food Service Director.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
