Hours of Job
- FT - Day Shift
- Some weekends and holidays
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- The daily receipt of linen inventories, stocking, and dispensing.
- Perform linen distribution process, as well as monitor quality of the linen being delivered to the designated linen closets. Responsible for removing damaged linen from inventory.
- Processes linen orders as appropriate.
- Accurately completes paperwork to eliminate errors in receiving and distribution. Assists in the development of schedules.
- Maintains established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, guest relations, infection control and a safe work environment.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and departmental information.
- Maintains professional standards by participating in in-services, committees, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Print jobs as needed in the Print Shop.
- Sorts and Runs mail machine.
Requirements
- Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods.
- Periods of repetitive pulling and tugging of product to sort/distribute.
- Ability to repeatedly lift weights of 50# overhead to a height of 60”. Frequent twisting and bending of the body.
Education/Certifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and PDF software.
- Ability to learn and work with different software applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
