Registered Dietitian

 Hours of Job

• Fulltime, 72 hours per pay

• Weekend and holiday work is required on a minimal basis to support the departmental needs and the regulatory requirements

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Assesses patients for nutritional status.

• Develops and implements individualized plans for nutrition care based on assessments and evaluations.

• Facilitates patient/family teaching as appropriate; counsels patient/family on modified diets.

• Participates in and provides patient education for Intensive Cardiac Rehab following established Pritikin guidelines and principles.

• Leads cooking school and nutrition workshops for Pritikin/ICR patients

• Develops, implements, and evaluates nutrition-related classes/programs/services.

• Documents nutrition-related information in the Medical Record.

Requirements

• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for the American Dietetic Association.

• Licensed by the Ohio Board of Dietetics.

Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical setting, such as an internship or work experience in a hospital, is highly valuable and preferred.
