Full-time Hourly - 1st Shift, Onsite
Hours of Job
- Full-time – 80 hours per pay period
- 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- No weekends or holidays required
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll information including the maintenance of employee demographic and deduction information. Ensure the accurate and timely payment of all Grand Lake Health System employees.
- Withhold and remit taxes and garnishments in accordance with the applicable authoritative agency’s regulations. Withhold and remit employee elected benefit deductions as provided through Human Resources Policies.
- Prepare tax returns for payroll taxes, sales taxes and CAT taxes, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.
- Responsible for preparing and distributing internal managerial payroll & productivity reports to area work leaders.
- Assist employees to understand payroll calculations and deductions, investigating problems and making appropriate corrections when necessary.
- Compile statistical and accounting information from payroll as requested.
- In conjunction with Human Resources, develop, maintain, and revise payroll procedures in written format as required.
- Assist in other accounting duties.
Education/Certifications
- Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
Experience
- Proficient computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet packages
- Sufficient previous experience in payroll processing
- Strong communication skills to deal with other employees
