Hours of Job
- Full Time - First Shift
- Monday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday 8:00 AM - 2:30PM - No weekends or holidays required
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Greets and escorts patients through the medical practice.
- Completes nursing assessments of patient by completing history of present disease and illnesses with accuracy and documents appropriately in patient electronic medical record.
- Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.
- Incorporates holistic approach to Patient Centered Medical Home, thus moving beyond problem focused care.
- Implements and documents clinical and technical aspects of care.
- Evaluates patient’s response and understanding to plan of care by using teach back method.
- Openly and appropriately communicates with patient, physicians and other members of health team.
- Serves as a liaison for patient with outside agencies, businesses and providers, establishing a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.
- Respect patient’s rights to privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
- Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Maintains established health system and work area policies and procedures, objectives, guest relations, safety, environmental and infection control guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Clinical skills in delivering patient care in an outpatient setting.
- Obtains and maintains successful completion of BCLS Healthcare Provider Course.
- Communications effectively with physicians, patients and coworkers to maintain respect and a positive work environment.
Education/Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio
Experience
- Previous experience in medical practice or outpatient clinic preferred.
