JOB SUMMARY:  

Perform RN job duties in Cardiac Rehab. Will lead by example promoting professional standards of conduct, proper ethics, positive interactions, morale and teamwork. Promotes a safe work environment for patients and employees. Assists in developing and maintaining policies and procedures in Cardiac Rehabilitation.   

JOB DUTIES:

1. Follow the RN process for nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation of care, and evaluation of patient progress.
2. Act as a resource to nursing staff as needed.
3. Provide patient and staff education.
4. Perform RN job duties in Cardiac Rehab as assigned.
5. Works cooperatively with the providers to assess the needs of each patient on an individual basis and provide the services necessary to meet these needs.
6. Performs EKG’s and chest pain/cardiac assessment when appropriate.
7. Performs BCLS & ACLS per AHA guidelines.
8. Other duties as assigned.

If you have the following qualifications, we would love to talk to you!

1. Currently registered with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.

1. Must have current BLS and ACLS certification per AHA guidelines.

1. Experience in assessing the individual needs of the adult, geriatric, adolescent and pediatric patients.

1. Experience in cardiac care, cardiac rhythm recognition, cardiac rhythm interpretation, exercise prescription and progression preferred.

1. Assist the physician in the delivery of patient care in Cardiology.

1. Demonstrates clinical competence in providing patient and family cardiac rehab education, including healthy lifestyle and change management.

1. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities and workload, with the use of critical thinking, delegation skills and respectful communication.

1. Follow and adhere to all GICH policies.

1. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
