Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, including both high voltage and low voltage work, and will be adept at managing construction sites efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with subcontractors.
- Utilize hand tools and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot and ensure proper installation of electrical systems.
- Read and interpret schematics to guide the renovation and building processes effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including timelines, materials used, and labor hours.
Experience
- Proven experience in a Superintendent role or similar position within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
- Familiarity with construction site management practices and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment is essential.
- Experience in reading schematics and implementing renovation plans effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
