CAD Technician - II

Position Summary: Produces construction drawings, 3D models, maps and reports figures based on engineering designs.

· Assist with preparing drawings for permitting, bidding, and construction

· Ability to prepare and modify plans using Autodesk Civil 3D based on comments from colleagues and clients

· Ability to prepare plan & profile sheets, grading plans, structural details and sections

· Ability to work with a team of engineers, surveyors, designers, and other disciplines

Key Responsibilities:

· Performs drafting activities, including 3D modeling

· Travels to the field when required

· Performs mark-ups on drawings and documents as required

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or higher equivalent and completion of relevant drafting courses

· Minimum 5 years of experience in the Engineering or Construction Industry as a CAD Operator

· Basic knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

· Be proficient with current releases of AutoCAD

· Be knowledgeable about 3D software

· Excellent effective communication skills, both written and oral

· Results oriented individual with the drive to effectively complete priorities on time

· Commitment to working in a team environment; understanding there are internal and external customers who are dependent on the quality and timeliness of our output to meet their commitments
