Do you love working with children and want a job where what you do truly matters? The YMCA Childcare & Preschool is looking for a caring, energetic, dependable Full-Time or Part-Time Childcare Team Member!
Typical Hours: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
Part Time Hours: 2:30 PM-6:00PM
Hours may vary based on program needs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll help create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children 6 months–12 years old. Responsibilities include:
- Supervising and engaging children
- Assisting other childcare staff with breaks
- Helping children learn, play, discover, and grow
- Providing a positive experience for children and families
- Operating a YMCA van to pick up students from assigned schools
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have one of the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a childcare-related field
• Associate Degree in a childcare-related field
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
• High School Diploma/GED plus 1,500 clock hours of experience in organized group activities with young children
Applicants must also be able to complete Nebraska Safe Kids Training and required Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services background checks.
