We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves preparing a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts for wedding & events while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The Pastry Cook will also contribute to the overall success of our kitchen by collaborating with other team members in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards for weddings and events.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, utilizing various techniques to enhance visual appeal.
- Package finished products for sale or catering orders, ensuring they are presented attractively and securely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including measuring ingredients and mixing batters.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production and delivery of all pastry items.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients or during catering events.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continually improve skills and offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pastry production or baking within the food industry is essential.
- Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail in presentation.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is preferred.
