Anticipated Employment Date:
October 5, 2026 to January 5, 2027 (tentative end date)
Anticipated Work Location/Hours:
Veronica Connor Middle School
7:25 am to 2:25 pm
Salary:
$22.09/hr plus $1.50/hr toileting assistance/behavioral support differential per SRP Contract
Duties:
- Work with students on a one to one basis, in small groups, and/or in a classroom setting
- Assist with transitions so that students participate in classroom activities
- Provide physical assistance to students
- Assist students with toileting and other behavioral support responsibilities
- Supervise students and perform other services as determined by the teacher and principal
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; or four years of experience and knowledge where specialized duties are involved
- Ability to work with student(s)
- Patience in dealing with students with disabilities
- Good communication skills
- Empathetic but able to positively motivate students to do well
Qualifications Desired:
- Teacher aide experience preferred
- Safety Care® De-Escalation training preferred
