Summary

Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Landscaping team as a Maintenance 2 at Grand Hyatt Kaua’i Resort & Spa located in Poipu, Hawaii.

A Maintenance 2 will be responsible for the continuous operation of the Landscaping equipment and systems and therefore must possess strong trouble-shooting skills in all areas of maintenance in landscaping, including the following required duties:

Troubleshooting & repair of:

• Transmissions and differentials
• Diesel and gas engines (2 and 4 stroke, cylinder head repair, fuel injection)
• Hydraulic systems (fork lifts, excavators, genie lifts, skid steer, backhoe, loaders, etc.)
• Sharpening (reel mowers, chainsaws, etc.)
• Electrical (AC and DC),
• Low voltage (machinery and landscape)
• Irrigation systems
  
  

Ability to read blueprints and schematics is also required. A minimum of 5-years maintenance experience in this field is required, with hospitality experience preferred. A strong working knowledge of landscaping systems, including life-safety systems, is required for this position. Good communication skills are necessary.

Additionally, this position requires strong leadership skills, teamwork, and a willingness to work different shifts as the demands of business dictates.

90 Day Probationary Rate: $34.05 per hour / Hourly Rate: $40.06 per hour

Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years building maintenance experience, with hotel experience preferred

License and/or certification preferred

Able to lift, pull and push moderate to heavy amounts weight

Able to walk and stand throughout the duration of the shift

Must be able to provide full availability
