Summary
Cook 4 On Call at the Grand Hyatt Denver must have an in-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations. Capable of producing a consistent product to meet and exceed guests' needs in a timely manner, and will daily monitor food production, quality and consistency, staffing levels and department training.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional cooking experience, including high volume restaurant experience and banquet production experience. Candidate must display good communication skills, as well as advanced knowledge of different preparation methods. Formal culinary training preferred. Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, cost control, communication skills, computer skills, organizational skills, guest contact experience and culinary teaching skills and knowledge.
This position involves standing on feet for long periods of time and requires the ability to lift, push and carry moderate amounts of weight. Candidates must have open availability, on any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications
Qualifications for this position:
- Requires good communication skills.
- 5 years of previous line experience preferred.
- Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
- Candidates should be able to perform all intermediate and advance cooking skills.
- Able to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
- Requires moderate supervision and training.
- Sick pay - Earn (1) hour of sick pay for every (30) hours worked with a maximum of (48) hours per year.
