With the full property transformation complete, this role helps drive the vision and execution of our refreshed culinary identity.
This position supports the development and operations of our transformed culinary venues, including collaboration with celebrity Chef Angelo Sosa at Tia Carmen, our Southwest‑inspired signature restaurant, and Carmocha, an upscale lounge featuring curated cocktails and eclectic indoor/outdoor dining.
The Assistant Director also oversees the renovated recreation area, including Vista Square Kitchen, HyTides Waterpark, and Palmadoro, our nostalgic, destination‑inspired airstream concept.
With a multimillion‑dollar property transformation complete, this is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and creative leader to elevate culinary awareness across diverse outlets while guiding the F&B division forward for both transient and group guests.
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000 . This is the pay range for this position that Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

- Short‑ and long‑term planning for all F&B operations
- Budget, marketing plan, and departmental objective development
- Implementing and maintaining F&B sales/marketing programs
- Employee development, hiring, training, coaching, and performance reviews
- Overseeing payroll, reporting, forecasting, inventory, and budgeting
- Coordinating with other hotel departments for seamless guest service
- Resolving guest concerns and maintaining high satisfaction
- Implementing procedures to enhance guest and colleague experience
- Ensuring quality control for all food and beverage offerings
- Maintaining Hyatt service standards and compliance with health regulations
- Daily walk‑throughs to ensure operational excellence
- Maintaining communication with Corporate Staff
- Coaching and counseling employees to uphold Hyatt standards

Qualifications
- 4 years or more of progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience (typically with Hyatt)
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
- Experience implementing new F&B concepts
