The Makoto Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the front-of-house operations of the restaurant, ensuring a seamless and positive dining experience for all guests. This includes managing reservations, seating guests, coordinating the waitstaff, handling to go orders, and resolving guest issues. The Makoto Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The rate of pay for this position is $22.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the reservation system, ensuring efficient booking and table management.
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, providing exceptional customer service.
- Seat guests efficiently and according to restaurant policies, considering party size and preferences.
- Oversee the waitstaff, providing support and guidance, and ensuring prompt and efficient service.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner, maintaining a positive rapport.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with the management team to improve restaurant operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed, such as assisting with table clearing or bussing.
- Actively participate in marketing and sales efforts to increase restaurant revenue, including promoting large party bookings.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and procedures.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with reservation management systems.
- Bilingualism (specify languages if applicable).
