What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Bartender position at Grand Hyatt Nashville?
The Pool Bartender will anticipate and attend to all needs of guests related to their Beverage/dining experience, following standard recipes, promote food sales, and assist in training.
HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
- Take responsibility for assigned associates in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Assign work and ensure proper performance of assigned associates.
- Assist in training new team members during their onboarding interim.
- Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Invent Specialty Cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks
- Serve wine, draught, bottled beer, non-alcoholic beverages, food, and alcoholic beverages.
- Collect money for drinks served.
- Orders and requisitions liquors and supplies. Stock and replenish glasses, beverages, mixes, fruit, and guest
- supplies.
- Assist leadership with weekly beverage orders.
- Assist leadership with monthly inventory.
- Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
- Wash glasses, bar, and equipment.
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks; prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese and cold meats.
- Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
- Complete nightly check outs as prescribed and aligned with closing procedures for staff who leaves early.
- Attend and lead preservice meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Must have TABC certification and meet state law age requirements for tending bar.
