What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician position at Grand Hyatt Nashville?
The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure the safety, comfort, and uninterrupted operation of hotel facilities for guests and staff.
HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, lighting, power outlets, panels, and controls throughout the hotel
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
- Respond promptly to guest room and facility maintenance requests
- Diagnose electrical issues and implement safe, effective repairs
- Maintain emergency systems including generators, backup power, and emergency lighting
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and hotel standards
- Coordinate with other maintenance staff and hotel departments as needed
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and repairs
- Assist with renovations, upgrades, and new installations
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuits, and safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
