This is a seasonal role on Mackinac Island, beginning in early April and continuing through October.

Housing and meals in our onsite cafeteria available at $19.50/day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and pressing
• Lead and motivate a team of laundry staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional results
• Develop and implement procedures to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Monitor inventory levels and manage the procurement of laundry supplies
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of clean linens and uniforms
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and address any maintenance issues
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect staff and maintain a safe working environment
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance laundry operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a laundry or hospitality environment preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities
• Knowledge of laundry equipment and processes
• Understanding of laundry chemicals and their proper usage
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems efficiently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
