What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steward position at Grand Harbor?
Position Overview:
Operate an automatic dishwashing machine that cleans silverware, glasses, plates, cups, saucers and other dishes. Collect and dispose of garbage and trash. Wash pots, pans and other kitchen utensils by hand. Clean all areas of the kitchen including refrigeration, cooking equipment, hood system and storerooms. Mop the kitchen at the end of each shift daily. Organize, stock, assist in counting all inventory.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Set up automatic dishwashing machine by filling machine and insuring soap dispenser is full (always clean internal filters first).
· Wash dishes and silverware ensuring that silverware has been ran through at least twice. Store dishes and silverware in the proper location as designated.
· Wash glasses using racks provided and place in designated glass rack storage area.
· Turn off drains and clean dishwashing equipment and area.
· Wash pots, pans and utensils by hand in sinks using hand washing soap and thoroughly rinse in hot water, wipe with dry cloths, and return to racks and storage.
· Collect garbage from various workstations and take to dumpster. When possible, check the cans for silverware.
· Collect boxes and place in proper recycling dumpster.
· Clean garbage cans with soap and hot water and place new liner in can.
· Sweep and mop kitchen floors using degreaser solution.
· Work rapidly during rush periods.
· Clean/Degrease all equipment, including but not limited to ovens, tilt skillets, fryers, etc.
· Assist PS/PM in putting away stock, and all orders as they are received.
· Maintain a well organized kitchen and store area.
· Assist in any food prep as directed by the Chef.
· Perform job functions while following all safety and other club rules.
· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, coworkers, and management.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Credentials and Experience:
· High School diploma or GED
· Minimal work experience required.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
