As a Restaurant Manager for Ristoranté Brissago at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will coordinate the activities of the outlets staff to deliver quality product and service to restaurant customers.

What will you be doing?
Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline restaurant staff for the efficient operation of the outlet
Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings
Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments
Interact positively with customers, promoting hotel facilities and services
Resolve problems to satisfaction of involved parties.
Organize special events in the restaurant
Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings
Control reservations in a manner that fully utilizes space but does not affect ability to provide quality service
Ensure food quality and service standards are met
Maintain profitability of outlet to support overall hotel operation
Control payroll and equipment costs
Utilize computer to accurately charge customers, create forecast and revenue reports, and write correspondence
Support the entire food and beverage operation including supervising other areas if necessary, handling special projects, running promotions, handling public relations, and marketing
Perform other duties as assigned
What do you bring to the role?
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Previous F&B management experience required, preferably in a destination restaurant or steakhouse environment
Fine dining experience required
Thorough wine knowledge preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong administrative skills
Professional demeanor
Ability to work well under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization in a professional manner
Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions
Must be able to lift up to 70lbs
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
