Mobility Coordinator Job Description

Grand Gateway Economic Development Association (GGEDA) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Mobility Coordinator. GGEDA’s home office is in Big Cabin, however this position’s responsibilities/duties may encompass multiple counties.

The Mobility Coordinator will play a key role in the development and implementation of a regional mobility management program. This program will focus on expanding and coordinating transportation services for older adults, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and other members of the general public. Once established, the program will serve as a vital connection point between community members and available transportation options.

This position requires travel within the state, as well as occasional out-of-state travel for conferences and training sessions. Most of the required travel will be within the identified service area in Northeast Oklahoma.

This is a full-time position. Salary range is $38,000- $42,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Identify and establish multi agency partnerships.
• Develop a marketing/community awareness program.
• Identify strategies for future funding sources.
• Identify alternative mobility services.
• Develop and present information to community members, businesses, and health services.
• Identify unmet mobility needs and develop strategies.
• Respond to phone calls/emails/letters.
• Attend appropriate conferences, meetings, and trainings as required and appropriate to the position or as assigned by the ODOT statewide mobility manager.

Minimum Education/Licensures/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in planning, public health, public administration, or another related field preferred.
• High school diploma/GED plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may be considered.
• A combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates competency to perform the work may be substituted.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and applicable vehicle insurance.
