HEAD CHEER COACH - CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL

Position: Head Cheer Coach

Location: Grand Forks Central High School

Activity: Cheerleading

We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Head Cheer Coach for Grand Forks Central High School. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to continuing the development of and leading the cheerleading program. The Cheer Coach will be responsible for leading all aspects of the cheer program, including but not limited to:

• The coach plans and supervises practices, coordinates performances and competitions, and serves as a positive role model for students.

• Promotes school spirit through participation in football, basketball, and hockey contests and community events such as school pep rallies and community parades.
• Fostering a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes school spirit, sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to cheerleaders to support their academic and personal growth.
• Overseeing team logistics, including scheduling practices, games, and travel arrangements.
• Collaborating with assistant coaches, administration, and parents to ensure the overall success of the program.

• Upholding all organizational and school policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.

• Strong knowledge to teach cheer techniques, stunts, tumbling, dance routines, and crowd-leading skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate cheerleaders to reach their full potential.
• Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Valid coaching certifications/licenses. Will have the opportunity to obtain certifications if hired.

• Background check clearance.
