Grand Central Bowl and Arcade is a high-energy, guest-focused entertainment venue featuring a mix of modern and classic arcade games. We pride ourselves on creating a fun, safe experience for every guest—and we’re looking for a part-time Arcade Technician to help keep the good times rolling.
Position Overview:
The Arcade Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing arcade games and related equipment to ensure they’re operating safely and consistently for our guests. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, light technical work, and fast-paced environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on arcade games and attractions.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
- Assist with game resets, ticket/e-ticket systems, and machine calibration.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and machine performance.
- Communicate equipment issues clearly to management and recommend solutions.
- Ensure the arcade floor remains clean, organized, and safe for guests.
- Provide friendly, helpful guest service when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with arcade equipment, electronics, or basic mechanical repair preferred but not required—willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with hands-on technical tasks.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working around flashing lights, sounds, and active guest areas.
