What You Will Do
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Preferred: Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or Doctorate in Instructional Leadership or Doctorate in Elementary Education or Doctorate in Learning and Teaching or Doctorate in Teaching Innovation.
- Minimum: Masters in Education or Masters in Elementary Education or Masters in Curriculum and Instruction AND2 areas of exceptional expertise
- All instructors must have a valid state teacher certification in elementary education AND a minimum of three years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher or elementary instructional specialist or 1-8 team lead or 1-8 department chair or elementary curriculum coach or new teacher mentor of 1-8 teachers AND at least six graduate credits in English Language Arts methods courses.
