Qualifications
- Previous work experience with at-risk middle level aged school children.
- Ability to work with at-risk students and their families.
- Knowledge of community and county agencies and services available to individuals and families.
- Experience as a child counselor, psychologist, behavioral specialist preferred.
- Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position.
- Ability to work with school and county agency professionals.
- Ability to facilitate meetings with parents, students, teachers, counselors, and agency professionals.
- Ability to assist students and parents in the pursuit of success.
- Be open to continuous change.
- Knowledge of school policy and procedures governing academics, attendance, and behavior.
- Ability to facilitate student group sessions.
- Be an excellent communicator with students, parents, and staff.
- Establish and facilitate team meetings for each Success Program Student as necessary.
- Monitor and document progress of Success Students and meet with students on a weekly basis.
- Communicate Success Student progress to the home and appropriate school personnel via letters, emails, and telephone calls.
- Use data tracking system to monitor behavior, achievement, and attendance each week.
- Make home visits as necessary.
- Assist families with agency involvement as necessary.
- Prepare, submit and attend court for truancy cases.
- Oversee student lunch periods & supervise lunch monitors.
- Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
- Other duties as assigned.

Salary : $21 - $23
