Reading Lab Teacher
- Deep understanding of reading and writing instruction aligned with grade-level standards
- Ability to foster a love of literature while building foundational literacy and analytical skills
- Strong use of data to drive instruction and close reading gaps
- Experience with differentiated instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Strong content knowledge in middle school mathematics, including pre-algebra and algebra concepts
- Ability to make math engaging and relevant through real-world applications and inquiry-based learning
- Consistent use of formative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction
- Skilled in building math confidence and persistence in all learners
- Strong classroom management and an ability to create a safe space for math risk-taking
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Valid Michigan teaching certification or the ability to obtain one
- Previous classroom experience at the middle school level strongly preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to student achievement, equity, and growth
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
