Required Qualifications
- Has at least a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university with a major in education
- ELA(Reading) Certifications
- Has a valid Michigan teaching certificate
- Has demonstrated experience working with age level of students for position
- Has demonstrated leadership (MTSS, small group interventions)
- Has demonstrated understanding of research based instructional practices
- Has undergone a physical examination, by a licensed physician, that documents capability to perform required duties
- Has an electronic fingerprint clearance from a criminal history record check
- Provide evidence based direct instructional support in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics instruction to both teachers and students
- Provide supplemental direct instruction is provided in small or individual group setting
- Conduct ongoing progress monitoring of at-risk students and report to building administrator/teachers and communicate progress to classroom teacher, administrator and families
- Active involvement and participation in building MTSS team
- Provide academic feedback to the families after program is completed
- Keep time and effort log that reflects what was taught and students who participated in the lesson
