Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements

• Shall hold, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Shall hold a valid teaching certificate from the state of Michigan.
• Shall be endorsed in Arts Instruction.
  
  

Minimum General Requirements

• Ability to provide leadership in educational planning.
• Ability to organize and administer class lesson plans.
• Ability to promote effective relationships with students, staff, and community.
• Ability to function effectively in a management team and work within the strategic planning process.
• Knowledgeable of the growth and maturation patterns of the school student.
• Ability to speak and write effectively.
• Subject to a criminal records check as required by the Board of Directors' policy.
  
  

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The purpose of this position is to meet the art educational needs of students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
