Position Summary
The Certified Medication Technician assists with medication administration and resident care in accordance with Missouri regulations, facility policies, and established care plans.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications within the scope of Missouri CMT certification and applicable regulations.
- Follow medication administration procedures and facility policies.
- Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to the appropriate nurse.
- Accurately document medication administration and related observations.
- Maintain medication security, safety, and proper storage.
- Assist with resident care and daily living activities as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with residents, nursing staff, and team members.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and dignity.
- Follow infection prevention and facility safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Current Missouri Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and resident safety.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Longterm care experience preferred.
