Duties
- Manage the complete automotive financing and insurance process, including loan approval, title processing, TILA (Truth in Lending Act) compliance, and contract preparation
- Develop strong relationships with customers by providing transparent financial guidance and personalized solutions
- Conduct credit analysis to determine appropriate loan terms and ensure compliance with all financial regulations
- Structure deals effectively by negotiating terms that benefit both the customer and dealership, utilizing industry knowledge of financial services and transaction structuring
- Upsell additional products such as extended warranties, service plans, and insurance options to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
- Collaborate with sales teams to facilitate seamless deal closing while maintaining compliance with automotive sales industry regulations
- Utilize dealership management software (such as CDK or similar platforms) for accurate loan processing, documentation, and record-keeping
- Ensure all transactions adhere to federal and state laws including TILA, Title processing requirements, and financial regulatory standards
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, loan applications, approvals, and contractual agreements using precise 10-key typing skills and basic math proficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive finance management or a similar role within a dealership environment
- Loan officer experience or background in financial services highly preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive sales industry regulations, including compliance with TILA, Title processing procedures, and financial regulatory standards
- Demonstrated ability in credit analysis, deal structuring, negotiation, and upselling techniques
- Familiarity with dealership management systems such as CDK or equivalent software platforms
- Excellent customer relationship management skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
- Basic math skills including 10-key typing proficiency for accurate data entry and calculations
- Knowledge of automotive financing products, insurance offerings, and related legal requirements for financial transactions
