CONTRACT DAYS: 226 (varies with position)
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Direct and manage the instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at the campus level. Provide instructional leadership to insure high standards of instructional service. Direct the implementation of District policies, instructional programs, and the operation of all campus activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in educational administration
Texas Mid-Management or other appropriate Texas certificate
Certified TPESS & TTESS appraiser
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction;
The ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness;
The ability to manage budget and personnel and coordinate campus functions;
The ability to explain policy, procedures, and data;
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills;
Prior experience in instructional leadership roles;
Other qualifications deemed necessary by the Board
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT
1.1 Monitors the use of board approved high quality instructional materials (HQIM) for delivery of instruction.
1.2 Monitors student achievement as indicated by measurable evaluation methods, including
benchmarks, to meet district and campus goals.
1.3 Diagnoses student needs.
1.4 Monitors student attendance to achieve district and campus goals, using measurable data to monitor.
1.5 Supports teachers instructionally through instructional coaching, PLCs, and other support systems.
1.6 Assists teachers in designing learning experiences for students.
1.7 Encourages the development and recommendation of innovative instruction programs to the district.
SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL MORALE

MANAGEMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE, FISCAL, AND FACILITIES FUNCTIONS.
5.1 Obtains broad-based input for fiscal or financial analysis.
5.2 Directs the development and management of a reasonable budget designed to meet campus goals.
5.3 In a timely manner, presents projected budget, expected enrollment and their impact on the budget.
5.4 Meets deadlines on budget calendar.
5.5 Explains budget terminology, expenditures and revenues at budget review meeting.
5.6 Attends a budget/finance training session as needed.
5.7 Manages campus level accounting.
5.8/ Ensures that buildings and equipment are clean and free from customer complaints.
5.9 Conducts regular safety evaluations of buildings and equipment.
5.10 Implements security devices and a security/safety plan.
STUDENT MANAGEMENT
6.1 Assists students develop a sense of self-worth.
6.2 Develops and communicates guidelines for student conduct.
6.3 Communicates and implements the Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct to students, parents and staff.
6.4 Trains campus staff in Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct.

6.6 Ensures rules and Student Code of Conduct are uniformly observed and enforced.
6.7 Encourages participation of students and parents.
6.8 Supports collaboration in student management by working with faculty.
